Jason Ferguson retires. On Thursday Jason Ferguson retired from the Miami Dolphins. Fergie played some great football for the Dolphins, Jets, and Cowboys, and will be missed this season. We used to hate seeing him accross the field as a Jet, and I for one was very happy when Miami signed him. I wish the big man the best, and will miss seeing him on the field this year, (after his 8 game suspension would be up) he was a class act wherever he played, and was a strong leader. So long Big Ferg.
He is a former Jets player, thats why I posted it. He played some very solid football for you guys! Theres always a bad apple in EVERY bunch I see!
You bring up Brandon Marshall in this thread too? I was just kidding but there is a 2 page thread already on this in the NFL Forum: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=57671
Yeah that's not good news for Miami. Ferg would have come back fresh for the last 8 of the season and really given us a boost in run D. Hopefully Ryan Baker continues to develop and provides some depth. I'm confident Starks will be able to handle the nose, but as we've learned the last couple years you need insurance.
Didnt Ferg sign a new deal with the Dolphins in the offseason even though he was going to miss the first 8 games? I know from listening to local radio down here the Dolphins fans are not happy about it, they have a huge a hole at DT/NT.
