No, it doesn't. I get what you're saying, but I disagree. The Yankees are lucky the Mets didn't score more, especially in the first. Although, the Mets deserve it still batting that jackass cleanup.

This was over from the Git.

    Melky looking like a Fish
    Cano swinging @ Ball 4
Godjira lookin like an ass on the Bases
Phelps swingin @ almost every Pitch even when Perez started wildin' out.

But of all that, what Pissed me off most was the crowd.
    Absolutely NO FIRE!

    Tomorrow, we bounce back.

Oh well... looks like the Mets needed a red hot Yankee team to get them back on track :)

Phelps is horrible! I would rather the pitcher hit as the hole in the lineup. He swings at worse shit than Andy Phillips.

This looked exactly like a game played by the Yankees right beofre the good streak started. A 2 run pitching effort and zero runs. I am dissapointed, but i'm not gonna get that bent out of shape about it,we'll smoke Glavine tomorrow.

I wouldn't say they're "back on track" it was the same pathetic offensive baseball we've been seeing for weeks, just without the meltdowns in the pitching staff.

While I won't go as far as saying we're back on track but I don't agree that our team was the same tonight. They were aggresive and showed emotion tonight. The ran well and on the defensive end they were focused. I'll take it... it's not all going to come back over night.

I agree. I just think that we hit Delgado in the order at exactly the wrong times. We got guys on and into scoring position and the boys played with emotion for the first time in at least a week.

That being said, we should DH for f***ing Delgado and let Glavine hit tomorrow. I really like 1-2-3 as Reyes-Beltran-Wright, however. Beltran got struck out on a nasty pitch by Clemens in the 4th (?) and other than that was alright and is showing signs that he may break out soon with a few good chops.

So the Yankees actually hit that HR for Reyes? That was pretty nice of them.

Just got back from The Stadium

Great game, that Reyes home run was a no doubter and the catch in left field was eerily reminiscent of game 7. Great game to watch live.

Mets fans can take solice in the fact that we cannot have a losing record versus the yanks this year. The worst we can do is 3-3.

More importantly, this game represents the turning point of the Mets season. Its time to right the ship and win some series, why not start with the Yanks.

    LETS GO METS

Today was the most frustrating game I have ever been to. The crowd had no life except for certain situations. Clemens pitched really well and the Yanks were hitting the ball with authority against Perez and there were times where Perez control was spotty. That and the jerk mets fans I was surrounded by. after the game the pain from their rough last 2 weeks came out on the subway. Tomorrow we will bounce back. We can hit glavine, that Mets offense didnt look too impressive tonight

    Damnit.

First of all, fantastic pitching performance by the Mets last night. As much as I want to put the blame solely on the Yankees for that dismal performance, Perez looked very good.

That said, I'm going to repeat a couple things I've been saying all year that showed up last night, that force me to sort of agree with what 2K07 said.

You CANNOT be on third when a ball is hit in the air coming from second. It was MIGUEL CAIRO Matsui, not ARod. Even that said, that was a fantastic throw, only overshadowed by Green's throw to third on a fly. But Matsui is a major hole on this team. I don't care how many RBI he drives in, he costs us far too much. (Not to mention, after that, he looked outright LAZY in the field defensively. He still made the catches, but he looked like he was playing with the Yankees having an 8 run lead. Unacceptable.)

WTF is JOSH PHELPS doing in as a DESIGNATED HITTER? WTF Joe?! Are you trying to "play fair" since most NL teams supposedly don't have someone who can DH on the roster? If Johnny Damon is BREATHING he should be in the lineup. Phelps must GO NOW. Sickening.

Well, at least if nothing else, Mets fans in general now see what we Yankees fans have been complaining about with Joe Torre with the pen. Micromanagement of the pitching situation, but no effort is made to maybe PINCH HIT late in the game? For those watching on tv, late in the game, after another wonderful Phelps at bat, they showed Damon in the dugout basically stare down Phelps as he walked, as he stretched, obviously ready to play. Maybe if Joe was actually paying attention...

Speaking of those watching on tv. Did anyone see Clemens reaction when he was pulled? I've never seen him that pissed off. He was barking at Joe, and then started barking in the dugout. While I couldn't make out exactly what he was saying, it was obvious he was yelling AT the team to put in some offensive effort. Great job guys. You wanted Rocket back, you got him, and you've basically pretended to be Houston for him.

Anyway, that's enough ranting for one morning I think. Again, the Mets played outright better last night, and deserved the win. Joe better wake the F*** up today though. Put together the lineup that has given you this resurgence. You don't fix what ain't broken jackass.

Jeter's a great short stop, and a HOF player, but at this point, Reyes is #1.... It's debatable, but I think in that argument, Jose will usually come out on top...
