MLB put them on the schedule, the Mets went out and beat them. The Mets were playing over .500 baseball before they playing the Diamondbacks and Marlins, and they'll be playing over .500 baseball afterwards. Far cry from the Yankees who got bitchslapped by everybody for a month, then needing to point to beating up on patsies as proof that they've bounced back.
So, wait...The Mets beat up on Patsies..but that is OK because they just play teams that were put on their schedule. The yankees do the same, and it is a farce...Gotcha...:up:
I wouldn't say that either, it is a rivalry so things get weird, I'll take as well as expect 2 out of 3
And in case you have not noticed...Playing the Marlins, Nationals, Rockies and Phillies is not exactly a tough schedule.
I'm not the one who's focused on the last 10 games at the exclusion of the rest of the schedule. Everybody lives in fear of the Orioles, Devil Rays, and Blue Jays. And the Athletics and Twins...just scary...playing .500 ball. Outside the Sox and Twins, everybody the Yankees have played so far have been suck ass teams, or just mediocre.
Met fans are obsessed with the Yanks, but the Yanks are already losing in their game to the Rangers and not one post has been made about it in their current series thread? Get off our jock.

Now you're getting the hang of it! Seriously, the Yankees can't really be talking smack right now. The Yankees sucked for the first 30 games of the season. I'm sorry, that's a fact. The stats have been posted (I don't care about the last 10 games; that's not a large enough sample size): The Mets have outperformed the Yankees, who are chasing the Red Sox. In contrast, the Mets are in a pretty close battle for division supremacy. I'm not writing off the Yankees by any means; it's early and they could win the WS. But wait until your team is doing well before you trash talk...
