    This loss is as much on Collins as it is on Sandy not making the moves to get some bats on this team. Alderson knows pitching, but he doesn't know shit about hitting. Too bad the Coupons will stay with Alderson and most likely extend him again. Collins OTOH, will be the fall guy for this season. I don't think Wright or D'Arnaud will really change anything. This team just doesn't have enough major league hitters in the lineup daily to compete let alone contend. If nothing is done, it will be a minor miracle if they win 90 games this year.

    Colon is showing his age now. The entire house of cards that was the 2015 NY Mets is coming back down to earth. This is a .500 team. Nothing more or less. SA is gonna have a hard time keeping fans interested come September/October. At least the Wilpons will keep to their budget though. Good news there..

    We can only hope. I dont love Gee much more but I cringe when I think of Niese starting in a playoff game for us. If he wasnt left handed he would've been in the minors a long time ago.
