anyone see Cuddyer's throw? It must've fallen out of his hand from the left field corner, like 8 bounces to the infield, allowing Young to score, but resulting in A-Roid getting thrown out trying to take an extra base
Love Muno. He caught my pitch when I threw out the first ball in a game down in Spring Training. Really good kid. _
Why can't Niese ever stop the bleeding? Like never ever! I've always been a Murphy fan but he's pissing me off. He has a good night at the plate which get's negated by his defense and base running. I mean why didn't he slide? He has seem distracted to me all season thus far. This infield of ours is going to cost us some runs and games. If Campbell, Flores, and Murphy actually have the ball you have to hold your breath that they are going to throw the ball accurately. Or even to the right base. Campbell just left me dumbfounded.
The thing about that hat is Torres was hit in the face by a line drive in Cleveland. The padding on his head wouldn't have helped him
Nice to see my thread still lives Belated happy season to all fellow sufferers been busy but what a start.... However ... This infield is not a long term solution ... Murphy at $9m is overpaid and Mets have to move forward at 2b. I am not sure that is Herrera long term, kids feel for the ball worries me at Major league. If any if you get a chance , try to get to see Conforto when he hit Binghampton in June ...he is our LF alongside Lagares and Nimmo. He hits a ball harder than any rookie since Wright. Anyway let's move on from the Yankees debacle last night and I really think this is our year... One strong trade gets us a good long term 2b and Gee and Plaw gets us a top player..
Niese is just not good enough, I think Met fans overrate him. He is a 4th starter and that's what he will always be, maybe 10-10 for the year. I don't expect much from him, he lets other teams back in the game with his inconsistency.
