Is anyone looking at the box scores of the former Mets? Nimmo is off to a good start. Alonso takes deGrom deep and McNeil is off to a slow start.
Don't forget the other side of the equation - the people they've brought in. Here are OPS values of the five starting position players they brought in: Bichette: .400; Polanco: .691; Robert Jr.: .932; Semien: .390; Benge: .554. Other than Robert, that is amazingly terrible. Add in Lindor (.713) and Baty (.522), and it's not hard to see why they're 3-3, despite a team ERA around 2.50.
