When Vientos struck out in the ninth ESPN had the win probability at 90.6% for Milwaukee (at the start of the inning it was 93.3% for Milwaukee). Amazing comeback.
Crazy to think about a week ago the Mets were having there games cancelled and everything looked brutal. A week later, clinched playoffs and now won a series. Maybe in a week from now they will be getting ready for the championship series.
Steve Gelbs to Brandon Nimmo: "Are you able to wrap your head around what has happened to this team in the last four days?" Nimmo: "No."

The Mets were just the third team in MLB history to be trailing a winner-take-all game in the ninth inning by multiple runs to win the game.
Crazy. I wonder what the other 2 games were. Wasn't there one recently? maybe a few years back. Cant remember exactly.
stopped being a mestg fan after the 1973 series and the injustice of the harelson non-tag scandal ... swore off baseball turned to the Jets.... my nephew whop grew up in queens is a big met fan... crazy ass week!! wow
I am returning home from AC right now. Last night I had a 4 leg parlay for $25 paying $339 Atlanta ML Kirk Cousins 2+ Passing TD Baker 2+ Passing TD Brewers ML After the 8th inning I felt something was going to happen and my parlay would die. No surprise. That said not a baseball person. But I am glad both Yankees and Mets are alive. Hope they both play in World Series.
I'm waiting for all the baseball analytics experts to complain about the fact that Pete Alonso's home run only had a 22 degree launch angle.
It is hard to believe because that is the first time it's ever happened in MLB history after 100+ years.
Probably never considering you can never have a winner take all regular season game unless its win and in game 162 I guess?
Lol. Asked the question wrong. I don’t follow baseball much that’s why I was wondering if game ending HR’s were as common as no.
Yeah, walkoff / game winning hits or homeruns happen all the time in regular season. Its just never happened in a winner take all game I guess.
