Escobar picks up Lindor and Ruf with the grand slam that breaks the game open! 7-0 Mets.

That's a shame, and no doubt very disappointing to Keith, not only for the obvious reason. I think he was really enjoying broadcasting this year's team's games.

Albert Pujols hit his 700th home run at Dodger Stadium tonight. I wonder what the guy who caught the ball is going to do with it.

Mets win 9-2. Lead up to 2 1/2 games, magic number down to 9.

Makes sense - he's a Dodgers fan, so he has no emotional attachment to the player. He'll "hold on to it" while he explores what's involved in selling it, I imagine. If Albert wants it, he can pay for it. I have no problem with that whatsoever.

Lindor makes it 1-0 with his 100th RBI. First time since 2008 the Mets have two players with 100+ RBI.

Pete immediately follows with his 38th HR, giving him 123 RBI, one short of Mike Piazza's team record.

    3-0 Mets.

Holy shit. deGrom looks awful, McNeil falls down in the outfield, and it's 3-2 with men on second and third and one out.

The Mets can't have the deGrom of the last few starts in the postseason.

Degrom hasn't been invincible his last couple of starts.

Alonso with the great play to save two runs. This has to be deGrom's worst start ever, right?

Two singles, a double, and a home run, and 5 RBI for Alonso as he jumps over Piazza's team RBI record. Still a 1 1/2 game lead, with the magic number now at 8.

Once again the potential #4 starter shows he isn't the #4 starter.

Carrasco should have been pulled already.

This is Showalter's fault - there is no way Carrasco should have even come out for the third inning. He clearly had nothing.

I wouldn’t have let him out for the 2nd. He had nothing
