You will. They’re going to use Cohen’s wallet to keep a competitive team while they build the farm system up. Dodgers east coast.

6 runs on 12 hits with two outs in the third inning. Have to like the way the team looks right now.

Mets complete the sweep, but Braves swept Arizona as well, unfortunately.

If the Mets lineup works pitch counts and makes starters work, they are better than Atlanta.

With that being said, there is NO excuse to not sweep the Nationals. Scherzer/deGrom/Bassitt against whoever the Nationals have pitching.

Not a dominant Scherzer performance, but good enough with the support of Alonso and Lindor home runs to get their seventh straight win. Lead now 3.5 games.

    deGrom Day tomorrow.

What do I want? Whatever it takes for Soto or Ohtani. I think prospects are drastically overrated and with Soto you are getting a guy who is 23 YO and on a 3000 hit + HOF trajectory.

What do I think happens? Every report I'm reading says the Mets won't part with one of their top 5 prospects for a 60 game rental. Also seeing Jeff McNeil as the piece that teams want as the MLB ready player and we are hanging up the phone instantly. I think we get one bullpen arm and just end up with Vientos as the platoon DH for leftys.

What the Nats gave him away for seems low return wise? Gotta assume Boras is going to have him test free agency when the time comes.

Here is the entire package. It also sounds like Hosmer doesn't want to waive his NO TRADE so right now the deal is held up.

I wonder what happens with Hosmer. He has 3 years 39 left and a player option after 2022. There is no way he is taking that opt out because he won't get that much on the market again right? He probably also wants to win and now with Soto in SD, they are top contenders. Looks like the Padres may just have to bite the bullet and go over the 230 1st tax threshold which I read they didn't want to do.

Hosmer said no to be traded. They have 4.5 hours to figure it out or they are going over the tax

I don't get this. For this price should just bring up Vientos. I don't get the what they are doing this trade deadline.

Ruf and Davis are basically the exact same player, both this year and during their careers, and Ruf is seven years older. This trade makes absolutely no sense, and smells of idiotic desperation.
