The Mets are a shoe in for the playoffs. The division is absolutely awful. 500 would win it and the Mets are well above that, playing great baseball.

Mets have a 6.5 game lead on Philly and Atlanta right now and play Philly again to close out the month. Gotta make that lead on them 7.5 or 8 games by the end of May.

When does this team get its first sweep?

I have been thinking for several innings that the Mets were going to blow this lead, and they just did it. Mazeika has been a complete disaster behind the plate. I think the first lost series is about to be upon us.

Mazeika makes up for his problems behind the plate with his second major league home run.

Diaz ends it striking out the side, ending with the POS Winker. No lost series yet.

From the very first pitch he and Bassitt were unable to communicate, which made it much tougher on Bassitt.

Megill put on the 15-day IL with right biceps inflammation. He was bad in his last two starts, which presumably is not coincidental.

Carrasco looking like he's about to be blown up.

Mets score four runs in the fourth to take the lead, and Carrasco can't get past two hitters in the fifth. The Mets are really having trouble with this not very good team.

Wow, this Seattle team certainly has a bunch of assholes on it for a team that stinks. Now Sewald is taunting the fans as he walks off the mound because "they didn't like him when he was here." Gee, maybe it had to do with the fact that you totally sucked when you were here, with your 5.50 ERA and 1-14 won-loss record?

Devastating end to the game. The Mets cut it to one run, second and third with one out, and then Marte and Alonso can't get the tying run in.

    The series streak is over.

Mets are 9-8 in their last 17 games. It’s not just this series - they’ve come back down to earth for a while.

And now Molina is confronting fans behind the plate for telling him that he was lazy on a wild pitch (which he was)? After Sewald gets into it with the fans for being mean to him, and Syndergaard throws a dig at the team on Twitter that their no-hitter wasn't "real"? What the hell is the matter with players nowadays? When did they become such oversensitive whiny little bitches?
