Familia doesn't get away with his usual ridiculously high walk rate this time, as three runners score after being walked (of course, Barnes giving up home runs to the first two batters he faced didn't help).
If Peterson and Lucchesi are able to pitch like they have recently, that's an impressive rotation with deGrom, Stroman, and Walker.
Huge win last night. Took the first one with Walker, deGrom, and Stro coming up in the next three. Gotta get 2 of these next 3 at minimum.
Stupid decision to bunt with Lugo and men on first and second with one out. The second basemen drops the throw on the double play.
I have no idea what Rojas is thinking, staying with Lugo so long. I disagree 100% with Ron and Keith on this.
It worked out, but I still think it was the wrong decision. In any event, Alonso drives in all 3 runs and the Mets win 3-2.
Kind if nervous about Jacob tomorrow. Hope they are making the right decision letting him pitch and not letting him get a little rest. He sounds scared and insecure about his talent.
Anyone who has been in this thread knows what a douche I think Bauer is, so his idiotic comments are hardly a surprise to me. You're not allowed to have anything on your person, you asshole - it doesn't matter if it's super sticky, moderately sticky, or only kind of sticky. Nothing would make me happier than for his career to go into the toilet because he's not allowed to cheat. Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.
Kind of crazy we were the only team to make an offer to Walker. Can’t overstate how wonderful of a signing Walker, Villar, and Pillar have turned out to be.
