Santana got screwed on a few pitches in that 5th. Ball 3 to Janish was a strike 3 and he later walked , he also got squeezed on a pitch to Bourne that had been called a strike all day.
The worst was when Buckner called time out. It was too late. Santana was already starting his delivery. The whole thing went haywire after that. Also, it is amazing how much a movie franchise makes people spell Michael Bourn's name wrong even on the same day they watched the guy play and saw his name on the TV screen.
Jeff Francoeur and Jonathan Broxton for Lucas Duda and one or two middling prospects? Would Duda and prospects be enough to get those two Royals? Would Duda and prospects be too much to give up? I don't really know. Those two guys make sense to acquire, though. I do know that. The Francoeur-Duda switch would put another right-handed batter into the lineup. Also, there would be a significant upgrade defensively. Broxton, although sloppy, would make the bullpen better.
So-so from harvey yesterday but are we not better to try him than pass the mic to Bautista who is unwatchable...shit i may prefer Home Run Schwinden!! I do think Wheeler will be in the bigs next year as frankly reading his reports he sounds off the charts control wise and his slider and changeup are already elite if the scouts can be believed Sandy has a difficult decision does he make some trades that help in short term or does he promote the likes of Harvey / Meija to allow us to see what they have.
Did you see him walk towards the dugout thinking that he had struck out looking only to have the umpire call the pitch a ball?? I have never seen anything like that in all my years of watching baseball. It was fucking disgraceful. Jason Bay is DONE. He has zero confidence in his abilities anymore. Might as well retire in order to prevent the inevitable further embarrassment to himself. Enjoy your millions Jason.
Nerdlucks stole Jason Bay talent. Even though I wanted Matt Holliday, I wasn't bummed out we got Jason. He's a nice guy, and I would love for him to figure it out for us, I think dude needs a change of scenery.
I was with you, Holliday was the way to go but let's be honest. With the Mets luck they sign Holliday and he somehow falls between the train and the subway platform , dragged to the next 4 stops and then his arm falls off.
No, with the Mets luck the moth would have never come out and he would have developed some bizarre moth disease.
Bay again. He is 1/7 in getting the run home from 3rd with less than 2 outs. How is that possible? I'm pretty sure I could bat in that situation and get the run in twice.
After the Nats got the 2nd run, I stopped watching and went upstairs. I hear my brother screaming and I knew someone hit a 3-run HR!
