You gotta get the runner in there Conforto. He will have his number at the end of the year but with what he's expecting to get paid he has to be good in the moments we need him. He needs to be more consistent with risp.

You guys think deGrom is a Hall of Famer? He needs four/five or so more strong years I'd imagine or another Cy Young.

Lincecum, Saberhagen, Kluber, Johan, Denny McClain on the list of guys with two that likely won't get in. I'd imagine Scherzer gets in with ease.

He's not a Hall of Famer yet - he only has three extremely strong seasons (and one was 40% the usual length). He needs at least a couple of more dominating seasons (maybe three), and it would really help if he could win at least 20 at least one of those times.

Diaz coming in and doing a fine job of putting it out of reach.

As a Yankees fan I would love DeGrom on my team. I thinks he's phenomenal.

If Degrom had a team that could hold onto leads he would be on another level as a pitcher. Maybe Mets fans should be happy his team hasn’t supported him as well, they might not be able to afford him.

If only deGrom had an RBI he would've gotten an ND., but, he did have a hit. .....I pretty much nailed it.

I'm not going to get too stressed, the bats will wake up. I'm more worried about the BP and the starters not named deGrom.

Why would they start this game in this rain? What a bad job! Makes no sense.

    14 IP
    1 ER
    0.64 ERA
    21 K's

    And 0-1 .. lmao

I wonder if he just expects it every time now. It's so sad.

What a shock, Mets leave runners all over and now find themselves down.

Wow, sure didn't see that coming - hits with RISP and the Mets come back to take game 1.

Mets win! 7 innings dumb! The runner starting on 2nd in extra innings is dumber! So stupid! This is supposed to be a professional sports league.

Nimmo is the only guy who has been consistent at the plate through 7 games (consistently good, that is).

Lindor with an OPS around .600. Sigh.

Yeah, this 7 inning shit + runner on 2nd is abysmal. I don’t think anyone is a fan of this nonsense

Amazingly enough, I think a lot of people actually are (certainly virtually every talking head I've heard on TV says they think they're great, but I think the callers on sports radio seem to be saying that also). I think both rules are pathetic jokes. I also hate the minimum three batters for a relief pitcher rule.
