    Our bullpen will be spent by June. However, it's nice to get the win.

    This game's probably over. Nice job, Peterson. Can you get through the first? :rolleyes:

    I told myself I wouldn't be so reactionary to what happens early in the season. I do hope what we've seen isn't a harbinger of things to come. Not hitting risp..bullpen sucking

    Betances put on the IL with "shoulder impingement." Side-armer Trevor Hildenberger brought in to replace him.

    Nimmo leads off the game with a double, Mets 0-3 with RISP and score nothing. Sigh.

    Good job Nimmo. Get the runner in Conforto. No excuse!

    It hit him, but he sure didn't try to get out of the way very much (or at all?). The fact that Conforto took that pitch showed that he was actually fooled by it, which reflects pretty badly on him.

    I’m of skeptic of his. Why I wasn’t hurt he didn’t sign with us. He’s been vocal about cheating. So I guess he gonna pound his chest and say if you can’t beat them join them.

    Jake starts tomorrow:
    * He'll get a hit and RBI
    * BP will implode
    * He'll get a ND or a hard-luck L
    That probably sums it up.

    It's pretty amazing - having a hard luck season is one thing, but he's started off on his fourth in a row! 25-19 with a 2.07 ERA and 0.941 WHIP since 2018.

    6-for-37 with RISP and counting. 1st and 3rd, no one out, number 3 in the lineup coming up, no runs. Sigh.

    Jacob has 10 Ks thru 5. Will this team get this man some runs. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. His W record doesn't make any sense.

    Jake with 10 Ks through 5 innings, 0.800 WHIP, one mistake made, losing 1-0. You just can't make this shit up.

    Conforto is doing a fine job of guaranteeing that he won't get that contract extension.

    And the Mets add another 0-for-3 with RISP.
