and now David Peterson goes on the IL and oh no Oswalt gets the start. If their pitchers keep dropping like this I may have to dust off my glove and stretch out my arm !
Oswalt wasn't bad. Liked the addition of the cutter and change...in addition to the FB and curve. Good to see Rosy drive in a few runs as well...McNeil suddenly cursing after every AB since he's struggling.
McNeil isn't right. All your weight when loaded up batting is on your back leg which is the one he hurt. he probably can't transfer weight without hurting his knee or he can't place weight on his back leg. He needs more time off.
My low opinion of Rojas continues - his brainless decisions to not bring in Lugo, and then leave Betances in when he so obviously has nothing (along with Diaz then being his usual piece of crap) robs Jake yet again of a chance at a win in a game where he threw six shutout innings.
Two members of the Mets organization (a player and a staff member) have tested positive for COVID-19. Tonight's game against the Marlins and tomorrow's game against the Yankees are postponed. https://sports.yahoo.com/mets-game-postponed-covid-19-cases-marlins-mlb-210059177.html
A-Rod whips out an old sock full of coins on the counter, and Jeff Wilpon salivates and ignores the brinks truck full of 100's driven by Steve Cohen Jeff Wilpon is the sole reason the Mets have been a complete failure for 2 decades now, man is that guy ever incompetent, what a useless piece of shit
Probably not the best time to be buying a sports team, and especially a B tier one in the New York market where people are abandoning ship. it would be fantastic to see the value of the team plummet on the Wilpons.
14 innings against the lousy Marlins, and they get 0 runs on 12 hits, 0-for-15 with RISP. They're such pieces of crap. They deserve A-Rod and J-Lo.
Jake goes 7, 14 Ks, 4-1 lead. Bullpen comes in, 8 batters later it's 4-4. You can't make this shit up.
Brilliant play by McNeil to block second base with his foot on the attempted steal helps save the day for the Mets.
deGoat's stats are a sight to behold, both in how good he's been in his career and how bad the Mets have been giving him run support.
Wacha terrible, but the bullpen miraculously shuts the Yankees down, and the Mets rally from down 4-0 to win the first game of the double header 6-4 on home runs by Alonso, Smith, and Marisnick.
Very odd ending - Rosario with a walkoff two-run home run in the bottom of the 7th, happening of course at Yankee Stadium. Only in 2020. Mets sweep the doubleheader and move to one game below .500.
Looking like Cohen is last man standing and sweep a DH vs Yanks. Finally a good day to be a Mets fan.
Absolutely shocked that apparently the Wilpons aren't doing the stupid thing, and are actually going to sell to the only person who should have ever been considered right from the start.
