I disagree with that. You wanna put it in the past? Win the Division.

Some moron followed the Mad Dog today and said the Mets should trade Dickey and Wright immediately. He mentioned the Mets money problems and said they need to trade their stars for prospects now even though they are in the playoff hunt.

Here is an appropriate song for that dumbass-

Young gets blame for his typical sudden dropoff in effectiveness, of course, but it's just amazing how about 3/4 of the time the bullpen gives up runs, and often lots of them.

Young needs to come out of games before the 7th inning.

I'll say it again: how much longer do we have to put up with this bullpen? For the love of GOD this is atrocious. Sandy has to do something and fast.

Quite frankly, the mets have zero chance of making it to the playoffs if this bullpen remains as is going forward.

Agreed 1 million %, we are in this thing becuase of our starting pitching , I think bringing Tejada back helps as well but we need somebody who can be counted on coming in to pitch in relief. The Mets are in the hunt depsite having quite possibly the worst bullpen in the history of baseball. I heard today and maybe it was an error that Mets were considering a return of K Rod. Had to be an error by the guy doing the report.

No, the same report appeared in several places today.

I wouldnt mind K-Rod because we would have to give up nothing to get him.....but he's been pretty terrible this year.

I don't see how bringing that clown back into the fold makes our pen any better. I thikn you can find plenty of guys who are having better seasons on teams that are not contenders.

Maybe the Padres will sell Huston Street, it's a gamble he stays healthy but a quality closer who will be an FA next season on a terrible team known for giving players away.

Brandon Lyon is having a pretty good season on a bad team and will also be an FA

If the Rockies fall too far out of contention Matt Belisle is also having a great year

I've been supporting this team. I've been going to a lot of games. Like I've always done since I was a little girl. They better do something about this bullpen, or I'm gonna be okay with watching them from home. #waiting

They will have to ask the Twins for help. Maybe they can make a run at Matt Capps. I know he is a sloppy pitcher, but the Mets aren't going to get a great reliever from anybody. There are too many teams in contention now what with the extra Wild Card slot.

Holy crap, I never knew you were a girl. I always thought your name meant you were pretty smooth with the ladies...haha

I think attacking the Padres is a good plan, they are notorious for just giving players away.

The Twins may be a good idea as well with the the way Jared Burton has pitched as of late Capps is on his way out.

Pedro Beato is now back with the Mets.

I don't know who they could trade to get any good relievers.

You can give up a couple B prospects to get a good reliever. That's what they can give up.

Mets should grow a pair and trade for Hudston Street. He'd be a good fit in NY.

Dickey has absolutely nothing tonight. That's two of his last three starts that have been awful.

If he has a bad second half (or even just not a great one) the Mets have no chance.
