The Mets are like the GF in high school who cheated on you for years and kept breaking your heart. You don’t get to win me back this easily but holy shit they are close...!

    Someone pinch me.

Very nice come-from-behind win, raising the team to 15-1 in their last 16!

The Guillorme homer will get the headlines but the bigger “play” of this game was Martinez pulling Corbin. We were throwing our bats at his sliders all day; he should have kept him in another inning or two.

    Thank you, Dave Martinez.

What a disastrous first inning, and every bit of it is deGrom's fault - terrible pitching, messing up the throw from Alonso on the ground ball (the throw was fine, it was deGrom who blew it), and then inexplicably not getting an error for throwing it to Ramos in the dirt allowing the third run to score.

deGrom exits after 5 innings, giving up no earned runs, but he really didn't pitch well today. Hope the bullpen can handle the extra load.

Nats save Diaz from blowing the game with a 1-2-3 bottom of the inning but he’s still absolute garbage. If the Mets go deep in the playoffs they should leave him off the roster the way the Yankees kept Kenny Rogers off the WS roster in ‘96.

I think we are at the point with Diaz where the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It might be time to option him to the minors.
Or give him short test runs in the 7th-8th.

This just can't continue to happen. He's been the damper in an otherwise great run! It's all about winning series so good job all-in-all by the guys!

Welp, they can't win em all. That double error in the first ended up costing them the game. This Braves series is going to be a tough one.

The best thing about having an 8 game win streak snapped is you had an 8 game win streak.

Going to be tough in Atlanta with Wheeler and Matz starting two of the games.

His slider is absolutely awful right now, he just can't seem to find it. I think they could send him to AAA to try to build up his confidence again, but this front office won't do that because he was the prized piece in a God awful trade.

Pretty much what I expected from Wheeler this game; our chance to win was always going to be outslug the Braves. Hopefully we can get to their bullpen which is the weakest part of the team.
