Mets are very close to pulling off a sweep of the White Sox and winning their 7th in a row! Hopefully they can survive the 9th. At this point I would rather have Lugo as the closer over Diaz.

7 in a row! Good to see Cano actually do something. Rosario continuing to play like an All-Star. Alonso needs to find a way to wake his bat up, we need him.

Nice games for Wheeler, Cano, and Ramos. Alonso continues to be just sad.

I suppose he still might break the team home run record, but at this rate he'll hit around .240 and won't even get to 100 RBI. When will these guys learn that the HR Derby is not like the dunk contest or 3 point contest or NHL skills contests? It really can affect your real job.

Yep he implodes in an inning. Which happens far to often with him.

Lucky all the hits by the pirates were singles or this game would have been over!

Didn't realize Cano is batting behind Alonzo.. Certainly explains the slump..

Mets need to launch an investigation into Diaz potentially being on the Braves payroll because he’s very likely trying to sabotage the Mets.

Why are they still letting Diaz close games? It should be Lugo. He destroyed them in the 8th and easily could have finished the game, or at very least go Diaz in the 8th and Lugo in 9th.

I knew that if the Mets didn't score in the 8th, they would lose the game. Callaway has no excuse to stay loyal to Diaz as closer at this point. The closer should be your best bullpen pitcher, end of story.

Well, that’s a disappointing turn of events for this game.

We’ve got to come out of the Marlins series above .500. Then the season really starts.

Gotta win at least 3 out of 4, the Marlins are a terrible baseball team.
