Exactly. I don't know what he thinks constitutes "analytics," but he makes consistently stupid decisions that are absolutely not what "the numbers" would imply. It really isn't that complicated.
Can we get any value for Wilmer? I like him but where the fuck was he standing on that nice play by Bautista. Baustista had that guy easy and Wilmer was up the fucking line. Hate bad D fundamentals
The Mets are in last place. There’s no excuse for how they have played as a collective. These guys really need to look in the mirror and ask themselves are they really even trying. From what I have see the answer is no. This could be the worst Mets team I may have ever seen and that shouldn’t be the case. I have to believe lack of effort plays a part in it.
It hasn't just been our impression - the Mets just completed their worst first half of a season in 25 years. Sure am glad that that crushing loss when they were 12-2 wasn't the turning point of the season the way fans said it might be and broadcasters said wouldn't be (12-2 before, 21-46 after).
Sam Darnold has officially chosen the Mets as his baseball team in NY. I hope he's aware of the long term suffering that will be caused by this.
Hate to say it this early but the gnats dropping is a shiny silver lining in this fucking disastrous black cloud. For me anyway. Love that. Hope I didn't jinx that
Playing for the Jets and rooting for the Mets.. This will challenge his demeanor and character definetly..
Hopefully he'll take his anger out on the Patriots..... "Never underestimate the power of the Darkside"
Moron Mets third base coach sends Flores with the score tied in the 6th and 1 out and he's thrown out by 25 feet. So nice to know that the incompetence isn't only in the manager's office, the coaches share it too. Mets are 2-15 in their last 17 home games, and the starters have a 2.27 ERA in those games. Unbelievable.
8 innings, 1 run given up. deGrom's ERA drops to 1.74. In 57 of his 125 career starts he has allowed one run or less. The Mets have lost 7 of his starts this year in which he gave up 1 run or less, and it's eminently possible that tonight will be number 8.
Bautista with the walk-off grand slam to win it (surprisingly enough, his 337th career home run is his first walk-off home run). Nice for the Mets, but poor deGrom.
