That shitbird blew that twice. Choke job. That said we're playing bad baseball. Duda's starting to piss me off. Wake the fuck up dopey....
Yep def not playing well lately. But 3-1 is manageable to come back from. 7-1 not so much even at Coors. And with the way we're hitting right now it feels like a 10 run game.
I'm debating if I should go to the store before they blow this game.... sadly due to the stupid archaic MLB blackout rules this is the only series I've been able to watch on this miserable road trip but looking forward to them getting back home. Tuesday night should be insane.
So ridiculous! How does the 2nd base umpire make that call anyway? That's the 3rd base umpire call. He stayed on the dirt, and didn't run on the grass.
Well he didn't strike out. What a dreadful road trip. They look like a bad team right now. Get it together.
Pure shit call.... I can't believe the 2nd base ump made it. He took one step towards the grass, never touched it and never went out of a baseline. Everyone knows what out of the baseline is and that clearly was not it
I can't believe that crew didn't go with the third base umpire's call. Then again I'm sure there was a little retribution going on there for Terry bitch-slapping the umps yesterday.
Duquette spot on in the post game with the umps choke jobs Both times Dudu came up small afterwards nonetheless.....Duda's in my.....
I don't know if there is a guy in the majors who'll hit a less meaningful 25 HR's than Duda. I don't feel like looking it up and I'm sure there is someone out there who knows this stuff or is paid to look it up but I'd love to see the breakdown of how many times Duda has hit a HR to give the team a lead va how many he has hit with the Mets up 3 runs. Then a breakdown of solo HR's vs multiple run scoring HRs.
That would be a great breakdown. To me Duda's career could be summed up by the night of the Gomez/Flores trade decable. We lost 7-3 and Duda hit 3 solo homers. Thats him in a nutshell. I never really minded Duda because anything was better than what Ike Davis was here , but if we could package him with maybe d'Arnaud and a pitcher around deadline time , it might be worth it to try and upgrade at 1st base.
I can live with Duda at 1B, but with d'Arnaud and Flores hurt the lineup's been shortened. Throw in Grandy, Wright, and even Conforto cold and Duda's inconsistency is getting old. But it was that play at first base after the first ump blown call that said it all to me. He's flakey, he looks like he's out of it. His body language sucks a lot of the time. I thought he would be over that by now. He reminds me of my nephew going through puberty. You can't rely on him. You can find reasons for most of their woes and other players problems, but the aloof flakey shit is just tough to look at. He's totally out classed by Ces. The future 1st baseman is prolly Dominic Smith. By next year hopefully, wishfully sooner. Start platooning every position including Wright and DooDoo. Dilson Herrera and Brandon Nimmo might help with that soon too. Sandy said he'll tweek things by the trade deadline.
Based on what I've seen just for 2015 most of his HR's came in blowout wins or games they lost, looks like July 10 vs Arizona he had 3 RBIs and a HR in a 4-2 win. That was a 1st inning 3 run HR. That seemed to be the 1st really important HR he hit last year and it came in July. He hit 2 in a 15-2 win over the Dodgers, maybe my favorite 3 solo HR's vs the Padres in a 7-3 loss on July 29 like you mentioned. August 1st he hit 2 in a 3-2 win over the Nats so those were important as he had all 3 RBIs in that game, hit a 2 run shot to give the Mets a 3-1 lead the next night against the Nats. Had 2 RBIs in an 8-6 win over the Marlins later that week Had some decent games after the division was clinched against the Reds and Phillies All in all about what I expected, tons of solo HR's or big games in bad losses
