I'm starting to get frustrated with Ducas. Not with him as our 1st baseman, but he's too inconsistent to protect Ces. Move Walker up and drop Dudu. When d'A is hitting it's a different lineup. Hope he's okay
Saw a stat last night. 1) Thor has as many HRs as all Braves OF's combined 2) Mets pitchers have more homeruns that Atlanta Braves outfielders, second basemen, shortstops and third basemen combined.
Lol love this quote by Collins: ''When you're supposed to bunt, you'd like to see him get the bunt down,'' Collins said. ''But if you don't get the bunt down, you might as well hit a homer.'' _
Should I be worried that the starting pitcher is the only one who could bat in any runs last night? If somebody else pitched, the Mets likely get shut out. I'm concerned about the offense. They strand a lot of runners and are too boom or bust with all the home runs. With Granderson not hitting, Conforto struggling, the production has dipped off big time. Hopefully Granderson returns to form soon. He is key.
Is that what he said? I had it on but wasn't paying close attention. I thought he said "he(Thor) didn't get the bunt down so I had him hit a homer." Lol He's says stuff like that sometimes, lol
They won, and good middle inf D put the game away. It's a good thing. Not likely either of those plays were made this time last year
Should have kept Murphy and put him at 3rd base. I feel bad for David Wright but it's just not happening. He is a weakness in the field and at the plate especially in the 2 spot.
Another crappy performance for Harvey. He's the only guy no one is saying might be hurt - he just isn't any good.
Gotta love baseball. Shitbird umpire blows a huge call then instead of making it right (MLB is trying to make every call right, right?!?) he tosses out TC because apparently all you have to do is disagree with a ruling to get tossed these days. So instead of getting out of it down 3-1 now it's 7-1.
