I mean if the community cards are showing 4 of one suit then it's pretty common for the last two people in the hand to both have flushes

Thank you, your analogy of the royals being the 90s Yankees is spot on, that's what I wanted the mets to do this series, become a singles hitting team and the occasional long ball would be icing on the cake.

The royals are going to win this series, they learned from what they did wrong last year against the Giants.

There is a reason they have back to back WS appearances.

But I still love my mets and I'm going to hold out hope until the last out is recorded.

People have this meme about how the 86 Mets lost Game 1 by 1 and Game 2 by 6, just like these Mets. Except those Mets scored 3 runs and had 8 hits in Game 2 in 86. This team barely scratched out a run and 2 singles by the same player. Ugh

Mets gotta jump on the royals in game 3. I'm talking about some serious momentum swing. A 3 run dinger followed by a solo shot for back to back jacks. Just take the air out of the royals.

Cespedes needs to hit a bomb for a crooked number first inning.

    Then Duda or d'Arnaud.

To be fair, it isn't unreasonable that the dejection of game 1 followed by the beat down of game 2 wouldn't leave fans in a less than optimistic outlook at the mets chances. It feels more like 2000, almost identical in that we blew a game 1 victory in the 9th and then get blown out game 2, than 1986.

Obviously that's just coincidence whereas 86 sets precedent that a 2-0 deficit isn't insurmountable.

Only 3 of the community cards were showing and the 3rd didn't come until the river. I normally don't chase but nobody else was raising so I just kept checking.

Maybe the worst thing Noah can do is game plan and go away from his fast ball. Maybe we are just over thinking it. Maybe you just have to do what you do best, and if they hit it so be it.

If our Hrs aren't solo ones we'll win tonight! They have to start maximizing their offense even if there isn't that much of it.

Not over till the fat lady sings

If they still sell it, the Mets drink several bottles of Yoo Hoo pregame and that energy goes straight to their bats!

But they're not swinging and missing those fastballs. They're fouling them off and it discouraged Harvey and DeGrom from going back to them
