Pelfrey is just a joy to watch. I guess it's not his fault how over hyped he was by some fans but he stinks now. The Mets are also employing an interesting strategy of putting their worst hitters in the 4-5 slot.

It's really amazing how bad Davis looks so far this year - he's not even getting loud outs.

The juggernaut rolls on! Murphy makes the Mets 4-0 after a big defensive play in the top of the 9th!

    4-0.

Its time for fans to start showing some damn support. I know its 4 games but we are beating division rivals. Hopefully the stadiums more filled up tommorows, because its damn time people show up. The Mets have done their job, nows its time for the fans to do theirs.

The Mets have to keep Murphy at 2nd. No switching him from, 2nd to 3rd to 1st. Keep him at 2nd and let him defensively get better like he showed tonight. Side-note: Mets had 5 walk offs total last year. Maybe this is a sign.

another great gritty win... Pelfrey was shit but the bullpen and our collection of Moneyball mk 2 players came good!!

Ref the comments above , Davis looks like a player that is 2 months behind the rest....I wonder if the injury really held him back

i think Pelf got lucky but thats baseball. he was missing his spots but missing them over the plate.he was just lucky the Nats where swinging and missing.
but he did tie a career high in K's.
like the way Murph's glove is coming around.
when torres returns he should be a pinch runner off the bench.keep the kid kirk out there

Just wondering what you mean by that?

7 of the 8 on the field to start the game were Omar guys, and everyone blasted Omar for his scouting over stats methods.

I remember Francessa saying that, that Omars true results might contribute after his firing. This is still Omars team that he built basically.

Yeah right, Omar would have traded half of them by now, the other half wouldn't have gotten any playing time because he'd be too busy signing guys like Manny Ramirez for $25 million a year when they're 40

Actually Omar's big mistake could have been not trading F-Mart. He never showed that he would trade valuable chips for crap. His mistake was throwing money around in the FA market and getting little return because of injury and steep decline.

Ref Shade Trees question.. I mean the likes of Batista , Francisco, Hairston , Torres , Byrdak , Capuano ( last year ) and giving players suh as Duda, Murphy and Turner chances which Omar would not have given

Omar drafted some good players eventuallyy but they would have all been gone by now for Bay mk 2 etc

    Anyway 5-0 anyone.....

This pitcher for the Nats is dominanting this weaker Mets lineup. Hopefully they can get him out of the game by the 6th.

Unfortunately, this kind of stinker at the plate might become more common, as the Mets are already into their very thin bench. And who knows how long Wright is going to be out?
