If it were A-Rod it'd be nonstop chatter. That's the thing with Harvey, he's basically the Met version of A-Rod where contreversy follows him out of bed in the morning.
Yeah Im not sure how realistic a Machado would be. Orioles need pitching but are most likely going to lose Chris Davis this offseason. So they'll need some offense next year. The proposal I saw that I liked the most was Boegarts and Mookie Betts from Boston. Both of those guys will be All Stars very soon.
You guys really want Harvey gone? *cries* No dui, no dog killing, no domestic violence, no drug arrest, what has he really done, that's really so bad? He's just a jerk.
Go Astros! No, I don't want a Subway Series. Just one New York team this year and it's not going to be them.
I don't think anybody wants him gone, or doesn't like him, it's just that it's starting to look like it's possible. The Mets are starting to get behind the 8 Ball with the way things are going, with him, his agent, his pitch counts, and the risks on top of it with his arm. He's gonna preserve himself for a big pay day. No doubt. It's possible he won't be here now I think
The way I see it , there is no way he would sign back with us when he becomes a FA. And who's to say that next season , if pitching on the same salary , he isnt gonna pull the same garbage with the innings limits? And sometimes being a diva is a lot worse than being a criminal in the sports world. Not many of us want Sheldon gone from the Jets but I think a lot of us wouldnt mind ditching Harvey for the right type of deal.
The big problem with keeping Harvey is his agent. Of course Harvey chose him. Now that Dombrowski is running the Red Sox I could see Harvey ending up in Boston. Kind of hard to keep a player with Boras as the agent when you have the cheapest owners in baseball. Btw don't you think these one game wildcards are a joke?
Boras is def part of the issue. I wonder if Harvey played for the Yanks , Sox or Dodgers and knew that he was going to be taken care of by them, would it still be an issue though? I like the WC games cause it makes the regular season more interesting..and also puts a premium on winning the division. I just wish they wouldnt call it the postseason. Neither of these teams have made the playoffs yet. Whoever wins tonight will make the playoffs.
Yeah, you can't have Scott Boras and Matt Harvey dictating the terms of how the Organization moves forward at this stage of things. We could get a nice piece, or two, for Harvey and spend the money elsewhere. Hopefully Jeffy Coupon got a taste of how things could be with a good successful team and puts some more money into it too.
He's gonna be gone in three years anyway, you really think he'd ever sign a long-term contract with the Mets before FA? Or that the Mets will give him the stupidest FA deal? Besides this is such a bad marriage, both sides cannot stand each other but now the problem is Harvey's TEAMMATES are getting tired of his diva act. It's one thing for the fans to turn on him but when you have mild-mannered David fit to be tied or other things come out like Noah has to do all his postgame interviews outside the locker room in large part cause he feels intimidated by Harvey, it suggests serious locker-room issues. And for all we know this absence was related to a hangover or something else more nefarious, it certainly wasn't him getting stuck in traffic - TC admitted he didn't even realize he was late till halfway through the workout. Just like how when Doc overslept and missed the parade in '86 that turned out to be drug-related. We don't know jack about what these guys do off the field till they get on Page 6, arrested or it affects the team, just look at CC. That one kinda shocked me, it would shock me far less if something eventually came out about Harvey in that vein.
Or <shudder> Washington where Boras owns half the team. Harvey would fit right in there too considering all the other egos and problems they already have. Even when they spend money they still have stuff like the A-Rod nonsense or Vlad's bad back, then they go out and throw millions at Mo Vaughn and Kevin Appier. I just hope they have money in the next few years before Conforto becomes an issue (he's got Bora$ as an agent too )
I met Noah a few weeks ago. He is extremely young, really backwoods and seems he'd be intimidated by everyone. My buddy asked him some really innocuous questions and he could barely speak. _
He's still a kid. You can see him maturing from day to day. He's already grown a lot since the spring I've noticed the Thor interviews not in the Locker room, some of them at least. If Harvey's pulling that shit on him fuck Harvey. The veneer is really coming off of Harvey now. Leaders don't do that shit.
for anyone who didn't see, vbetting for WS winner http://forums.theganggreen.com/posts/3328037/ Dodgers are -190 to win the series (risk 190 to win 100).
I made all the odds a little better than what you'll find out there exception could be Cubs/Pirates, there's no line obviously, I should've just listed the teams separately
