Mets fans at the game last night expected the team to come from behind and win. Hopefully the Nats will continue their sub-par play and help us out a little. Just in case we have problems with the Yankees and Dodgers or if we hit a hiccup or two down the stretch. All Mets fans are very wary considering our recent history of blowing big leads in Sept.

I would have rather the Marlins stop the winning streak than the fucking Yankees. And I want the Terry Collins to manage the Yankee series like he did against the Nats.......

    Wow--I guess football is King.

I just turned down Mets tix for Monday night--the really good ones right behind home plate and steaks at Pat LeFrieda's--because the Jets are on Monday Night Football.

Might have been different if it were the Yankees or we were in a battle, but the Braves?

Versus the Jets v Andrew Luck?

What's going on with the attendance at the park? Kind of disappointing.

    Meaningless games in September lol

Well until the Yankees beat us two of three and the Nats win three of four and make this interesting again. The part everyone has to remember is the Nats only have to be within three with three games left to control their own destiny. We need to snuff them out before then and all the gremlins come out to play.

Not till Monday...I can picture us going splat and losing at least two to the Yankees who have been terribad lately. The Marlins better take a bite out of the Nats this weekend or this'll be too interesting by Monday.

    Ok, back to happy thoughts.

    This weekend:

    Matz

    Syndergard

    Harvey

Fuck yeah. Throw in a fat man and a tree and you've got Christmas.

Taking 2 out 3 is good..... A sweep would be great.
    Mets sweep, plus
    Astros sweep, plus
    Blue Jays sweep, plus
    Twins sweep, equals
    Yankees shitting on themselves........

Nice job by the Fish tonight getting our lead to 8. They've been playing pretty damn well lately.

Washington loses to the dirty fish. Mets magic number = 9

    NYM Games Left: 16
    WAS Games Left: 16
    Game Lead: 8

    Scenarios:

Mets .500 rest of the way (8-8):
    - Nationals must go 16-0 just to tie

Mets .250 rest of the way (4-12):
    - Nationals must go 12-4 just to tie

Present Homestand clinching requirements (3 vs NYY, 3 vs ATL):
    - Mets 6-0 / Was 3-3
    - Mets 5-1 / Was 2-4
    - Mets 4-2 / Was 1-5
    - Mets 3-3 / Was 0-6

I'm hyped for this game tonight, let alone the entire series. I hope our young guns shut the kids from the Bronx down!! Matz has got to get it started tonight. I'm kind of nervous about tonight though since Tanaka is in the bump and 7 of his last 8 starts have been considered QS.

I've never seen Tanaka pitch, be interested to see what he's all about.

Have got to jump on his fastball early. He lost a couple MPH on it since he came over from Japan. His splitter has a ton of movement, as do most of his pitches. But we just need to jump on that heater.

Also.. just saw a report popup on my phone, Cespedes wants at least 6 years.

Great. We all know that Duda is a streak HR hitter. I hate to be greedy but I hate solo Hrs from my team.

This would be awesome if Duda gets hit again.
