Someone along those lines would be great. Moreso than the money I just want the passion to win. The team has showed that late this season thankfully but its been lacking for a long long time.

Maybe this is the start of something different? Who knows.

ANOTHER gem by Grienke today. I think you guys saying you'd prefer to face the Dodgers instead of the Giants are crazy. We're not facing the laundry or the reputation. We're facing the pitchers. It will take everything we've got to get a split and not to be down 0-2 against those two aces. As the old saying goes --- one of them is the best in the league, and the other one is better.

In a 7 game series you have a point about the experience of the Giants being a key ... But in a 5 game series the Dodgers are the much tougher opponent. There's just no room for error in the first two games, and then we have to face one of them again in the decider. I'll be rooting hard for the Giants during this final month. I'll take my chances with Harvey or JDG matching up at home vs Bumgarner in game 1, and we'll have the big pitching edge after that ... Assuming that Heston doesn't no hit us again :)

Ronny said it perfectly. When things dont go his way he unravels.

No quit in this offense though. Brand new ballgame.

Thats a good win right there..to come back from 5 for the 2nd time in series. Shows some real heart.

Didnt think we were gonna win until that crazy Torres/Murphy play..then I figured it was our night lol.

Niese with a nice job of settling down and the pen was great tonight.

Loved the passion Murph showed sliding into 3rd after that big hit.

We just got 4 tickets 100 ea metropolitan box for today's game. Came with a parking pass. Should be a packed house. I'm sure their all very excited about the possibility of making it to the playoffs but Murphy seems to be showing it the most outward. lol

Dropped my son off at Syracuse yesterday, didn't leave on my 3.5 hour ride home until about 7:30 and I can't pick up WOR until very close to NJ.

Found the Phillies feed on XM and listened to the game the whole way down, extra innings were a bonus!

I gotta say, this is one of the most entertaining and likeable teams I can remember in a very very long time and they are getting big plays from just about everyone at the most opportune time.

Torres singles, then tags up to take third on a fly to left center?!?

The fact that he even got to the bag for Murphy's play?

Wow this is going to be a fun September.

Btw, lots of talk on the radio that Murph is the guy that's gotta stay.

Can play 3rd if Wright falters, can play first if Duda falters, can play second and is a professional hitter. And a home grown talent that just seems to belong here.

I still can't get over the power this team suddenly has. I wonder if its a function of late summer. Balls are flying out of ballparks all over the league.

One has to point out we have been playing against bad teams in band box ballparks.

True.. Throw in AAA pitchers and you have batting practice during real games. Hopefully it keeps up when we get to Washington.

I saw this stat yesterday.. not sure how yesterdays win changes the numbers, but:

Since July 30 debacle vs Padres:
    18-6
    6.2 runs scored per game

We have also scored 70ish ( I want to say 73, but I don't remember off the top of my head) in the past 7 games. We are on a tear right now and we have our Horses coming up vs Boston. Let's sweep these motherfuckers

I was listening to Benigno before and I have never heard him this positive, he was absolutely gushing.

And he made a great point.

This is the most entertaining team we've had since 1986 where just about every game was Must See TV.

Think about these games this weekend. Going to be amazing.

If course it's the GFs BDay so I'm missing tonite and tomorrow (and I'm DVRing the Jet game).

deGromm pitching a gem. 9 strikeouts through 5.

The dude pitching for the Sox has a lame porn stache.
