Yeah that would be epic. Something tells me a player isn't allowed to play for both teams in a game, or is he.... LOL
Great discussion on Joe and Evan right now. If this game is suspended and we trade for Upton, what would happen if we needed to play the final half inning at the end of the season? Would he be eligible to bat for us? I'd say it's a long shot but after the last day I'm not so sure.
I think they said that the game would have to consist of guys on the roster that were a part of the original game. But this is set to be a loss...against the worst offensive team in the majors outside of us.
The field is very wet but I assume they will wait as long as it takes to finish this game. Extra innings? Of course that would make this even more bizarre. Almost as crazy as the Mets winning this game.

Gomez heading to the Astros. He already passed astros medical review. So I guess they weren't worried about his hip. If they don't come through with something better than Gomez the majority of the Mets are going to think they are broke liars. Which I guess is what the fan base already thinks. I wouldn't trade Wheeler for Bruce because I don't think he's good enough. I wouldn't trade Wheeler for a rental. What a dilemma.
But they're not broke, they're just liars. Seeing Gomez traded a day later shows how full of crap the Wilpons are. They tried to spin it to the public and it blew up in their face.
7-1 to start the 7th...Parnell sucked and Robles inherited his runners...a grand slam later and it's 7-5. Familia gets 2 outs in the 9th and one strike on the next batter and they call a delay. 40 minutes later Familia comes back in to give up 2 singles and a 3 run homer to Upton. Then there's ANOTHER delay before the Mets can start the bottom of he 9th, but we all knew Kimbrel would end it. 8-7 final.
I had a feeling that the Brewers were going to trade Gomez. Which to me means that Sandy is officially FOS. And put everyone thru a lot of turmoil yesterday and basically after a good week created a distraction. The way I see it the Tom Haudricourt article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel posted by Irish yesterday is probably true. They had a trade in place and Sandy tried to pull a fast one at the last minute and failed.
lol can the Jet fans who fly planes with banners PLEASE fly one over Citi telling the Wilpons to sell?
Not just Wheeler but another player? That would be awful. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 8m8 minutes ago Sources: #Mets trying to land #Reds’ Bruce. Also exploring other options. Wheeler most likely would go to CIN and maybe one other piece.
