This is a real shitty move and it makes me wonder where Terry's head is at. Come on man, have some decency.

Wilmer: it looked like he might get a 20 Hr season. But still at 10 for a long time. Plus Tejada beat him out for the job.

I'm glad Gary is calling it out. Terry Collins needs to get his head out of his ass -- the kid is clearly emotional about the situation and he should be given time to himself in a game that was over 4 innings ago anyway.

    +1 on Fullmer & Co.

Think about how they're gonna look next year too, from the get go.

I liked both Wheeler and Flores. It's sad. They're both great kids

No wonder the Mets have such shitty Karma. They can't do anything right, even in a big time trade they manage to make it ugly somehow.

Never seen anything like it. This kid is a great team player. He might get a good shot at 2nd base with the Brewers.

With that being said, the Mets are going for it. Can't believe they are really going for it. If we don't at least win the division I'd consider that a huge failure.

I hope the media annoys the crap out of TC in the post-game presser regarding Flores remaining in the game.

Seriously...the ONLY acceptable explanations would be if all the other infielders were magically incapacitated/already used or if Wilmer specifically asked to stay in for whatever reason. Only the Mets would keep a guy in for five innings after a trade's been broken, tell him about it and STILL keep him in.

Yeah I had high hopes for Wheeler. Im sure he'll be a good pitcher for MIL.

Flores has been in my dog house for the last couple months but I do feel for the kid. Guess he wasnt expecting to be dealt. And to be with the organization since he was like 16 gotta think its hard to go somewhere else.

I've already mourned the lost of Wheeler. Mets look like assholes leaving Flores in. Regardless of what ultimately ends up happening.

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 6m6 minutes ago
Asked official involved with Gomez trade why Flores is still in game. Reply: “No deal is done. The entire world has jumped the gun.”

Ive been following the recent resurgence of the Mets, especially with all the young talent that is helping them get to this point. As a Yankees fan, I miss that alot with our homegrown guys although I really love how we have been winning lately.

Anyways, isn't Flores like having the same type of year as Gomez?

Wheeler + Flores sounds like alot...what are the Mets going to do, trade for Flores years down the road again?

Mets completely fucked this. Watching this kid still playing in more than unreal. It has really annoyed me to see this.

Just cause Twitter reports it doesnt mean its done. Should he have been pulled? Yeah probably. But if everything wasnt on the internet before its even done no one would care.

I doubt this is the first time in history that a player has stayed in the game while being discussed in a potential trade.

If he doesn't swing at pitches esp low ones way out of the strike zone Duda has a chance to put the ball in play. And if he does with his power balls are going to leave the park. This is easier said than done because it's been so obvious for two months. It's no great revelation anybody who watches the Mets knows this. Not sure how reliable he can be in the future if he can lose it that bad for so long.
