It was scheduled that way before the season started. The major market teams even if blowing have to be on at least one Sunday night game every year I would think. I will return to Mets watching this evening, my first game since 4/9. At 10:00 I will being going to another channel.
yeah I know they schedule this before the season, but I'm just wondering why they wanted the Mets on. I guess Philly/New York is considered interesting, but it's not like the Mets are underperforming expectations. They were expected to be bad and they are.
Even when bad the Mets will help ratings somewhat. If KC and Pitt and Tampa Bay and Milwaukee blow/are expected to blow, ESPN is not likely to schedule those teams for a Sunday night. However, the LA and Anaheim teams, the two Chicago teams, the two NY teams, the Philadelphia team, and the Boston team will always get a Sunday night game. I think so anyway.
The Mets are 6th in the league in batting? Damn if we only had a rotation this year we would've had a chance
The first inning was big, so at least Lee won't go deep into this one. Of course, their bullpen is rested after Halladay threw a CG yesterday.
i feel sorry for these announcers having to keep talking about this boring game. bay should've thrown mayberry out at home easily in the 8th and this should've been over hours ago.
I need Bay to score 2 runs to help a fantasy team. I'm rooting for a 5-3 Mets win in the 17th inning.
