    I suppose there is some explanation for Atlanta's fascination with him (both the team and the fans), but I'm damned if I can figure out what it is.

    3.5 up on atlanta, 5 up on philly, 7.5 up on florida

    we need to take 5 from the pirates and nationals. this is supposed to be a relatively easy stretch, and if we don't use it to try and extend the lead a bit, we're in trouble.

    going 4-3 against SD and LA is acceptable, though. tough trip

    we've played 6 more road games than home games, so this homestand against pitt and washington puts us back almost even

    I'm not sure that there is. It would be like as Mets fans getting all tingly at the prospect of Lenny Harris coming back and playing for them.

    Of all things, a blown save. Between Gagne and Saito we've had about 10 blown saves since 2002, so I guess I shouldn't complain. I was in and out all weekend, caught bits and pieces of this series. Except for the series in June with Kuo homering and flipping his bat, we never fare well against the Mets. Glad it's over. See you guys in August.
