this castillo talk is ridiculous. he thinks he's overanxious in the 8 hole? he never swings until he has 2 strikes on him. and he's not used to pitchers pitching around him? 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs last night and they pitched to him!

Almost a great play by Church turns into a bad one as he loses sight of the ball and causes an inside the park HR.

    jesus christ.

based on history this game is over as the mets haven't won a game where their opponent scored more then 4 runs all year.

I wonder if the Mets are going to put a fair ball into play against Kuo.

they may not be the worst team in baseball, but management seems content with the team simply hovering anywhere above .500, or at least that's all I can think of as to why something hasn't been done, even if it is superficial like firing the manager, to attempt to light a fire under them, because whatever is being done now just isn't going to work if management cares to see them play any better than they have so far this season.

i guess i just have to start managing my expectations and not be suprised when this lifeless bunch of stiffs plays mediocre baseball like I've watched them do for the past year.

Ridiculous - Wright makes another great play. He clearly needs to make every play as difficult as possible for himself so he never makes a bad throw.

And the Mets BA with two outs and RISP drops below .175.

hey delgado, look, even when the ball is hit really hard when it's right at you you can still field it, you don't have to let it go under your glove.

What a shock - Castillo looks at strike three to lose it, and it wasn't that great a pitch, either.

actually, every pitch against the Mets is the equivalent of a great pitch.

I have tickets for tomorrows game, but I don't think I can stomach going. though Penny can fire it up over 90, so I do have a legitimate shot of seeing a no-hitter.

baseball is a weird game. 2 weak, seeing eye singles knock in 3 runs and the mets are back with risp!

this is typical mets, they're getting getting every single break at the plate when they don't need it, and maine is dealing.
