it's funny how wright never has a problem with his throws when he makes one of those crazy diving stops with no time to think about it.
Others have noted that. It might be psychological, but I wonder if it could be physical - when he has more time he squeezes the ball asymmetrically (maybe because of his grip), which makes his throws sail.
This has been an amazingly poorly pitched game - a WHIP of 3.00 (and counting) between the two pitchers.
Seems likely, especially since he does that weird double clutch/glove pound whenever he has time. More stellar defense from the Mets
