His changeup is when it's working, but that's been few times far between lately. Also, is it just me, or does it always look like he has no real control over where his pitches wind up? There's a ton of natural movement, but they just sort of dance around wherever. Like on the Yadier Molina homer...
Control seems to be his biggest problem this year. He's not throwing his changeup for strikes and his fastball isn't good enough to blow by people.
Wow what I would give to have Heath Bell in the bullpen...... hey do you think SD would trade him back to us? Do you think we can send them a Triple A DL player in Ben Johnson and they will send him back? Oh wait only the Mets are stupid enough to pull the trigger on that deal. While we're at lets send Ambriox Burgos to the Royals for a top end rotation guy in Brian Bannister......
To be fair Heath Bell was the hit fairy for us all year and out of nowhere got good at SD, the Bannister deal is just bad.
