it's friggin' hilarious. All this talk about how he came back strong from the injury and then gets injured before throwing a regular season pitch. Then you hear the Braves talking about how good his warmups looked. anyway, at least we're still ahead of the Braves.
Score: 5-3 Braves Ok. You are down two runs. After Francoeur singles, there should be an arm up in the pen. After he walked Prado to load the bases, he should have been out right there. Feliciano in to pitch to the left-handed batter, Kelly Johnson. No. Sosa gives up a grand slam. Yup, keep him in there after a grand slam even. I fucking hate you Willie Randolph. Worst strategic manager in the history of baseball.
Braves in the same exact situation the Mets were in, in the top half, they showed us how it's done. 1-0 Braves
how? by making sure the opposing team has an awful player where you hit the ball? even alou would've made that play, it barely even made it to the warning track.

it may be early, but nothing about this team makes me very optimistic. outside of 1 pitcher, the team isn't significantly different - or better -- than last year, and one pitcher wouldn't have made a world of difference then either.
