They didn't get shutout. They scored 2 runs and put Santana in a spot to shut down the Phils and win the game.

    He didn't do it.

how about actually giving an easy win to Santana for a change, making a guy basically have to shut a team out for his only hope for a win every single time, night in and night out. No matter how much he is paid or how good an ace should be, it is going too far to ask for that much.

And lets not make it out that the Phillies were a cupcake lineup, the reason that this game was a must win was that even our weak lineup should be able to outscore against a pitcher when the Phillies has to go against our ace.

Certianally is on the offense too, no doubt.

I'm just not going to give Johan a pass, though. He doesn't have to do it everytime. Hes done it once this season. The Dbacks game..

I can also think of a 2 other games off where he lost the lead late..

Braves in game 2 of the DH

Padres game, believe it was game 3 in the series after we lost the first 2 and were desperate for a win.

He has been very good, but he hasn't been great. Not nearly.

I am talking about in order for him to get wins period especially as of late, the last time we won an Santana start was in fucking June 1, that is unacceptable. I don't blame him for being annoyed with such a lack of help

    Look at this stat

"Santana has a 2.48 ERA in his last six starts, during which the Mets are 0?6 while averaging just two runs per game."
Only the Mets could suck like this.:mad::mad:

our offense is to inconsistent, all year we have followed up a 10 + run game by losing.

this team needs some youth and upgrades

We need to post a lost and found poster on a milk carton to locate our offense

The Mets hitters like Maine more than they like Santana.

Nice job by Maine. Mets pitchers don't like leads.

This guy Aguila is a joke - why exactly is he here, and even more, why is he playing? Does he do anything at a major league level?

He is now off the interstate, but not in a good way.

someone asked manuel why aguila was on the roster and not pascucci and manuel said because he didn't know who he was. i dont know if that was another one of his little jokes or not.
