I forgot about that...I read "The Bad Guys Won" by Jeff Perlman, which discusses him in great detail. Great book for Mets fans, by the way. This Swindle guy is hilarious. Congrats to Pedro on a 1-4 day...not often a pitcher can say that.
One of the best books I've ever read about a team I cared about. Hopefully ESPN will get their shit together and do "The Bad Guys Won" like they did "The Bronx is Burning."
That's pretty harsh. This is certainly his second-best start of the year, and vastly superior to his last three starts.
Yeah but he's been so bad that almost anything would be an improvement. He had an 8 run lead right off the bat and still could barely get through 5 innings throwing a ton of a pitches.
He pitched more than adequetely...Not sure what you want. We've led the whole game; they are making things a little dicey now, yes, but I think the Mets deserve at least a little praise.
I don't think it can be done...too many characters that can't be portrayed on screen. That said, I'd watch every moment.
