Mets idiotically let Polanco beat them. Theres no way he wasn't dunking that into RF for a single. Pitch to ****ing Rollins..
turning point in this game was "the face of the franchise" striking out with the bases loaded and one out. i dont think i've ever seen a player as aweful as David is with a runner on third and less than 2 outs, its as if he's an automatic K in that situation, i swear i've seen it close to 100times. ughhhh. fucking team cant capitalize on having the lead-off runner on the first 4 innings. pathetic. /endrant
His splits with man on thrid and less than two outs (BA, OBP, SLG): 2010: .364 .340 .515 (12 Ks in 50 plate appearances) 2009: .321 .342 .429 (12 Ks in 38 PAs) 2008: .259 .271 .426 (14 Ks in 70 PAs) 2007: .559 .569 .853 (6 Ks in 51 PAs) 2006: .485 .519 .818 (7 Ks in 52 PAs) 2005: .500 .532 .947 (8 Ks in 47 PAs) He was absurdly good in that situation from 2005-2007, was awful in 2008, was below average in 2009, and was about average in 2010 (everybody does better than normal in that situation).
Yesterday showed that we are to reliant on two or three players as we all knew before the season. Still my prediction of 3-3 came good ( which won me some cash!) and on to a home stand against the Nats. I need someone to take on the mantle of thread starter as I am on business for 2 weeks and will not be able to continue my excellent predictions!!! Lets go mets!!
