Gary is right about how dominating Maddux was from 1992-1998, but I don't really see any argument that he was underappreciated - he won 4 Cy Youngs (in a row), and finished 2nd, 4th, and 5th in the Cy Young voting in the other three years. His WHIP over those 7 years was 0.968, which is quite amazing.
Then you should probably turn the game off, since I see no sign that he isn't going to get win #341 in dominating fashion.
