given how terrible the mets bullpen is its pretty mind blowing that a starter that was actually pitching well was taken out after 70 pitches or whatever pelfrey had, even if they were losing by a run at the time.

    This bullpen is absolutely worthless.

    Cannot understand how we

    1) Pull Pelfrey on such a low count...think thats 3 times we have lost leads when doing that. We should have pitched him to end of 8th and lt K rod try to finish it.

    2) We pitch to Fielder with 1st open....guy has already hit a massive HR so we serve him on nice and floaty..

    3) Can someone please explain why Bay and Evans are in the lineup? Evans deserved a crack but is clearly not good enough and BAY can only reach base when he knees it!

    Oh well

They're hoping that Bay will one day not be completely worthless, I'm guessing.

There are certainly people in the system who could put up better numbers than Bay is currently putting up.

Neise pitching well. Pitches out of a jam with 2 men on and nobody out to finish the 7th. Guess Collins is not going to trust the bullpen with another lead. Not sure of his pitch count. Mets up 4-1.

pitch count 86 with 5 outs to go for a potential CG for Neise.

Nice bounce back win after a toughie last night. This team continues to surprise me. It would have been nice to get that sweep, but 2-out-of-3 versus a hot team with a great home record in Milwaukee is impressive.
If only Bay can get going. There is definitely something in his head. Benching him, just another good coaching move. Pitching to Fielder last night with 1st base open is Collins' only "real" mistake so far. He is the antithesis of Manuel.

Niese has been excellent last 3 starts , we forget how young he is.

Bay is definetly gone in the head, his swing looks like Stevie Wonder at the moment

This team will finish abobve .500 imo , how many of us actually forecast that!
