That's very interesting, since you've called out Reyes plenty for things like not running out pop flies. He's also shown plenty of lackadasical play in the field, and I'm not talking about booting a ground ball - I'm talking about him taking his time getting to a ball thinking that his arm can overcome it, and then having to rush the throw. All of that has nothing to do with the point here, which I've said repeatedly (and you've ignored). And I hate to break it to you, but while Glavine only sucked in his last three starts last year, Reyes sucked for the last three months. He's got no record to run on there either.
Seriously...you're supposed to be one of, if not the best pitcher in the NL...step the fuck up. And interesting about the dragging the arm through strike zone thing.
Did anyone catch what Gary just said before Hunter's double (not even gonna say anything)? Something about someone keeping his job.
he was talking about how the mets held a press conference last year just to say willie had kept his job
Ah, thanks. If the Mets win this game, the papers are going to be pretty brutal anyway. If they lose, I think there might actually be blood in the ink.
did anyone else see reyes and manuel making up? in one way manuel sent reyes a message last night, and even if johan gave up only 2 runs yesturday, we still lose, hard to win when you only score 1 freaking run
Shocking misstatement by Gary - the Islanders parades were on Hempstead Turnpike, not Old Country Road.
