This game has really exposed how horrible the Mets are in the fundamentals. There's a perfect example. Gordon comes in, and Lo Duca swings at the first pitch and flies out. Does anyone on this team have a clue when to take a pitch, when to try to steal, how to position themselves in the outfield, etc.?

There's only one person to blame for these kinds of mistakes, and we all know who it is.
