Come on man, it's the same cast of characters that got whacked by Cleveland last year If you read through the thread you'll see nothing but praise about your rotation. I really like what the future has for you guys , I really lke Wang and the kids but just not right now.
Defensively, yes, but that's what Endy is for. Marlon is one of the best pinch hitters in the MLB, I'd rather have him for that purpose than Lofton, who's used to starting.
Well, you know damn well Alou will be lucky to play 100 games. I'd prefer to have Lofton playing the other 62 than Endy.
It all remains to be seen. And to me,thats whats exciting. I am stoked to look forward to Yankees farm talent rather than stupid overpaid signings that have led to arrogance and failure. I do think the Yankees will be right in it this year, but if it does end up being a "rebuilding" year, were lucky enough to be stacked up to where is certainly won't be a very long process.
yep, and #3 highest paid baseball player isnt bad at all for the best pitcher in the world in his prime.
Do you really think so? I am still of the belief that a pitcher can only help you every 5th day. Granted he should win 22-25 games in the weak NL but still..there are already other pitchers capable of winning 20 games in that league. Is he worth that much more then they are making? What does that make Arod worth? Or other everyday players that can effect the outcome of every game. 100 million a year? More?
A great pitcher does more than just help out every 5th day... He is most often the difference between advancing in the playoffs and losing, he can win big first games of a series against division rivals etc, he bumps everyone down a notch so THEY have easier matchups, possibly adds a swagger to the rotation, helps keep your bullpen rested. etc etc etc
