That load dropping on the fiels kind of looks like Brett Favre's ding-dong after he checks-out nude photos of Jenn Sterger!
are you serious? yeah they have never done this whole play a football game in the snow thing before. oh but its 4 feet of snow... interesting. as i said in my post unless they were doing some kind of renovations to the stadium or the field i just dont see a reason why they couldnt have played there. they were going to send people out onto the roof of the metrodome today to clear snow. they can do it they just chose not to. and the vikings fans who have had to suffer with favre will have to suffer again.
I'm wondering if the Vikings owner will now bring up the "new stadium or we're moving to LA" issue right about now. They might have to beat the Jaguars to the punch, but it wouldn't be the first time the Vikings have been mentioned as a moving candidate (Birmingham, San Antonio, LA, etc)
L.A. would have another purple and yellow/gold clad team. Are the Kings back in purple and yellow now? I don't follow the NHL but know they wore those colors for a spell in the 1980s.
few facts for you that may make you realize the logistical troubles this presented. 1)much of the field had been removed, yes its field turf, but its -25 with 4 feet of snow, I have to imagine its a bit hard to put down in those conditions. 2)replay...there is no high definition equipment to run NFL replay like it is run in all 31 stadiums in the NFL(this was the main reason from what was said). I would hate for them to miss a call in a game and have it benefit my team, kleenex cant handle that type of production. 3)FOX, Fox has never broadcast a game there, would have to get equipment there and get camera angles set up, its why THEY pushed for Detroit, the Fox equipment is there already from todays Packers/Lions game and many of the camera and production crew never made it to Minny so they were able to fly to Detroit today and simply use the equipment there. Logistically no one was going to be happy, everyones inconvienenced and it just sucks for all, especially the Vikes fans, but I have to imagine they all were a bit lucky this storm 12 hours ahead of itself because that collapse very well could have happened with 75,000 people in there and ultimately no matter who wins that the most important thing no one got hurt
thanks 117, actually the typing did quite a bit of good. the field thing is a problem and makes it completely understandable why they moved the game. im not sure where the 4 feet of snow comes from but maybe it snowed alot this whole month, either way it doesnt matter its alot of snow. but snow is still not a good enough excuse.
Not sure if this has been posted video from inside as the roof collapsed: That would be so fucking scary if that was during a game.
