If the Jets were winning big and doing it over multiple years we wouldn’t give a shot about Met life. It’s just the icing on the cake

Thanks for proving my point. New York is not San Diego, nor is it Oakland or St. Louis. New York is a metropolis with over 20 million people in the tristate area. I really believe there is no chance the owner would want to move the team to a third rate location from the hub of world commerce.

    And Los Angeles isn't?

The threat of the team going there if Woody didn't get a stadium built around the area was real.

I feel sorry for the fans that lost their teams especially San Diego.

    Be thankful we aren't them.

Why are you now talking about Los Angeles again? Yes, the LA market is large, but it also highly fickle; it is certainly no New York with its diehard fans. Why did the Rams move to St Louis? Why did the Raiders move to LA and then return to Oakland? Because the fans adopt and drop teams so easily. That doesn't happen here.

I disagree with you completely regarding the reality of the Jets leaving this area.

Back then it was a very real threat.

The league was dying to get back into that market.

    Appreciate Metlife stadium.

If it was a "very real threat" it should be easy to support with published information.

    Metlife sucks.

You cannot be an adult Jet fan back during the West Side Stadium/MetLife fiasco and think there was any talk about moving the Jets to LA.

I’ve heard stupid made up bullshit for the sole purpose of trolling but at least make up something slightly believable.

Jets will never ever move. This talk never happened during the West Side stadium discussions. Rollo is right for once.

Because it never got to that point.

    Thanks to Metlife.

If Metlife hadn't happened we would've but by then it would've been too late.

Three NFL teams have moved in the past five years yet you doubt the possibility the Jets could've been one of those teams if Metlife hadn't been built?

    COMMON SENSE MAN!!!!!!!!

    Jeez.

Every night before you go to bed give thanks for Metlife stadium.

    Stop digging, you sound foolish.

I guess if MetLife hadn’t happened the Giants would have moved to Texas? Ohio? Maybe Florida?

Seriously, start watching football if you want to talk football with adults.

I wasn’t a Jet fan back then? Really? That’s a silly thing to say.

I think I understand the Post, as well as the News and Times for that matter, very well.

Since you didn’t seem to pick up on the message behind my post, it wasn’t to say that it was true, but that it was reported.

It’s also been reported the world is flat.

    It’s nonsense.

    Was never real.

But yeah we should be thankful for the piece of shit Stadium because without it we would have moved....out of NYC.

    Stop.

Rollo. For real, drop it man. RPOZ41 is a great Jet fan who never has any issues with anybody. He is right. Post made a news about it back in 2001 that's all he said. He didn't claim anything.
