That's been the best Fest in the states for a number of years now, I envy anyone going this year.

Priest were fucking awesome tonight. Couldn't believe they could get a crowd going like that towards the second half of the show with Painkiller, Hell Bent For Leather etc.

    Badger, I am slightly jealous.

Definitely not. Though I'd be interested to hear Chuck Billy's take on Silent Night.

Going to see Yngwie Malmsteen tomorrow at the Starland, two tickets for a $20, not bad to see one of the greats, better than sitting at home and stuffing gerbils up your ass, there is not a metal player out there who was not influenced by this man.

    Better value than the NFL?

What isn't? Sounds great though, have fun.

  11. Great band. Hope they tour

Morbid angel(W/ Vincent) has been playing a new song on their european tour called "nevermore" it sounds sick. Not sure when their new album is due...but it could be the first great album from a "classic" death metal artist in a long time.

Feels like they keep pushing it back. If it doesn't come out during 2009 I'll be pissed. I dunno if you consider Suffocation classic but they're due for a new one soon.

  13. Suffocation is def. classic...their last 2 efforts have been decent..but nothing groundbreaking.

Thank you. God, that Scout Bar is just the shittiest venue in town. I guess they are spending money to get the bands here, but no one ever goes to the shows because of the shitty location and shittier advertising.

I'm not a fan of Opeth, but the signer's side project Bloodbath is really good.

Opeth... I went to one of their shows once. This chick I knew dragged me there to see them and Lacuna Coil. The high point of the show was watching Cristina Scabbia walk through the back of the club wearing tight leather pants.
