Bucs select: Keith Jackson, DT Arkansas Cant have too many bodies on the d-line and his junior and senior year has had 75+ tackles both years vs. good competition.
The New York Jets Select, Stanley Doughty, DT, South Carolina 2007 New York Jets Draft Picks Justin Blalock, OG, Texas LaMarr Woodley, OLB, Michigan Eric Wright, CB, UNLV Paul Williams, WR, Fresno St. Matt Spaeth, TE, Minnesota Le'ron McClain, FB, Alabama Stanley Doughty, DT, South Carolina
With the 200th pick in the 2007 Draft, the Miami Dolphins select... Gary Russell (RB) - Minnesota With this pick, the Miami Dolphins go for a somewhat unproven running back. When he was academically elligible to play he provided backup to Laurence Maroney who is now in New England. When Maroney went down with an ankle injury, Russell picked up the load in 2005 with 186 attempts, 1,130 yards, 6.1 average and 18 rushing tds and 1 recieving td. He bombed out of college and went to Jr. College to gain elligibility for the draft. This part of the draft is when the sleepers come out and with those kind of numbers and a usually injured Ronnie Brown, this guy can become good insurance like he was for Maroney especially now that the Fins don't have a solid backup. The Fins don't need another "troubled" running back like a certain someone we know, but this appears to be a "not built for college" thing rather than a "bad character" thing. The Fins cross their fingers and draft Russell... The Saints {Rhodes 25} are OTC...
The Bears 4 Hours are up. With the 202nd Pick in the 2007 Draft, the Chicago Bears select... George Batiste (OG) - Southern Miss I went with this pick because this guy played both ways during his college career on the OLine and the DLine. So, he's got proven versatility and honestly, the only thing standing between the Bears and greatness is a star QB. Since they've proven they won't switch up Rex with Griese, we might as well put someone else in there that can protect him. Their OLine doesn't have any real stars, so this is a developmental pick. The Buffalo Bills {Vision} are OTC... 9:52AM
With the 204th pick in the 2007 Draft, the Tennessee Titans select... Adam Podlesh (P) - Maryland I opted with Podlesh in this pick because the Titan's current punter is entering his 15th season and while punters and kickers have unusually long life spans in the NFL, 15 years is a lot. Podlesh is the second top rated punter in this years draft and has RIDICULOUS leg strength. JetsFanPA appears to have really taken care of every other aspect of the Titans off season needs and in my opinion, they're weak at punter. The NY Giants {penny10jet} are OTC... 2:40PM - 6:40PM
The Pittsburgh Steelers select: Legedu Naanee, WR, Boise State http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/legedunaanee.html
