So the Sanchez Fans want to shoot the messenger.

    "Anonymous sources!"

Oh wait, LT agreed to be quoted.

    Now it's

"LT is an over the hill douchebag!"

    Sure he is.

Agreed. It is a non story. If you asked any player if they would like Andre Johnson over Tone, I'm sure an anonymous source would speak up saying yes.

LT said Manning would fit well with the Jets.

There is nothing wrong with either of these comments, of course players would want a 4 time MVP, super bowl winning QB if healthy over Sanchez. There is a reason players don't GM/play though.

Yup. I dont even get the controversy. Of course most players want Manning, if their team can get him.

The average NFL career is so short, that guys have few chances to win the SB. If Manning gives them a better chance, they will want him.

And there is little reason to think that he would decrease the Jets chance at winning it all next year.

Manning is washed up, lets move on men, if he were healthy and could help the Colts win this year, he would not have been let go.

If the Colts FO can see this and are not willing to sacrifice the future of their team for one player then the Jets need to stay away.

Please Jets, don't make this move. Stay away from Manning.

Agree completely. If the "anonymous sources" were saying things about Sanchez and the team that fans wanted to hear, they wouldn't be on Manish at all.

It appears Manish is either trying to get on ESPN/NFL Network or instigate some more drama. The reports have no substance and are hardly worth reporting, but it makes for one hell of a flashy headline.

Or maybe he's just trying to do his job. Amazing how childish people get over something so trivial. Accusing a reporter just making shit up is quite the accusation.

I think people are forgetting to realize that this is a really tough situation for our FO, realistically if we go after Manning theres no chance were keeping Sanchez especially since he saves us about 9 mil by getting him off the books.

Regardless of this fact even if we get Manning you have to realize hes going to need time to bring in his type of players, everyone assumes that random no names just stepped in and became great with him for no reason!?? Who even says that the Jets O can grasp his system? Especaily in 1 year? with 1 draft where we need to sure up our D? I just think its unrealistic to expect him to come in and turn the team into superstars, i think Favre was a much better fit because hes more of a playmaker rather than a system guy.

Also does anybody think were going to have the patience to give him more than 1 year to get it together? Rex will be gone, Tanny will be gone, and the team will go back to shit.....just watch.

Name me one team that won a super bowl with a QB as awful as Sanchez in the last 10 years? The only thing broken is your blind love for this bottom of the league overrated garbage QB. Its amazing how some of you fans are okay with mediocrity.

The fact that over 12-14 teams have already inquired about Manning shows you all you need to know about how healthy the guy is now. These Sanchez homers are pathetic though. You would think they would be defending a guy that is at least an average QB but this guy is a bottom 10 QB in all 3 years and the only thing they hang their hat on is his playoff performances, which over half of them are attributed to the defense. Keep making a fool out of yourself though Sanchez fans. Hopefully all of you follow him to his next team when he is not here in a year or two. Good riddance...

Yet again, you invalidate anything resembling a credible argument. You can make an argument about how shaky he has been during the regular season. When you try to bash his playoff performances, you have no legs to stand on.

The defense is fine with the kind of QB Manning is. Its amazing how much better a defense looks when the offense isnt garbage like its been the last 3+ years. Manning will bring in his own guys for cheaper as well (Wayne). Manning basically knows every offense there is to know as well and will put in all the extra time needed to help his players just like he did in Indy. Calling Peyton a system guy is about the dumbest thing you can say. A system guy cant run every NFL offense like Peyton can.

What is there not to bash with the San Diego, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati games? Nice love letter on the front page by the way. Im sure Sanchez would love to read that....

I bet you didn't even make it to the third paragraph. You don't seem like you can focus on an intelligent argument long enough to grasp it.

"some jets" = the entire team minus sanchez

regardless of how you feel about this issue as a fan, you have to know the players are fed up with Sanchez especially the defense. Guys want to get paid first and foremost, but they want to win too, and loyalty flies right out the window when you aren't winning.

Players are human. When they see a young quarterback fighting with a co-captain, as childish as that co-captain is... when they see him playing with injury and likely not admitting the injury, hurting their chances at a post-season... when they see a lock HOF QB hit FA and some of them are nearing the point where their patience for a young QB to develop is waning... they will choose the FA QB, regardless of health or roster management issues.

I think people are focusing too much on how badly Sanchez played after his injury, when they should be more focused on how he refused to admit the injury in the first place. That's what has me worried the most. Not enough to want them to scrap the entire blueprint they've been working on for the past 3 seasons, but worried enough.

Did I mention that LT needs to shut his hole?

No? Well then he needs to shut his hole. Now I'm hoping that the Jets DON'T get Peyton so that he DOESN'T come back. Go and retire, dude.

Peyton would have no receivers to throw to, no running game to fall back on, and a terrible offensive line to go along with a soft defense that WILL break down in the clutch and has broken down in the playoffs.

He should go the Dolphins, and we should get some receivers.

If LT said the Jets should get rid of Burress and replace him with Edwards, I would expect much slobbering on LT's male member by a certain poster here.

Translation: If people here agreed with what LT said, they'd love him for it.
