Let's face it, our team is a "Reality Show". Everyone is watching and talking about the Jets and it's ok. Any press is good press. It's all about entertainment and that's what Rex provides. It's all good because Schottenheimer is gone. This team will get focused and make a run, just watch.
He has been tweeting a lot about all the crap going on, including "@ACromartie Antonio Cromartie No we shouldn't Mark can get the job I think he will b more confident with his throws with all the critics coming after him. @teamwork777"
A story totally sourced on anonymous sources should never be run. It's too explosive and there's no way for anybody to confirm it let alone begin to manage the fallout. Mehta didn't have ANYBODY willing to talk on the record. He never should have run the story in that situation, it was shoddy journalism.
I would guess that the editor was the one to push for the story to be run. The Daily News fell into the tabloid business years ago, ask Cimini. I would also bet that these quotes were collected over the duration of the season, not just this week.
Hey buddy, you really need to get your head out of the sand. This is a real situation and all Mehta did was report it. He's the most positive beat writer the Jets have going. Right now, the Jets locker room is like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" with Rex sailing the boat singing "I'm Popye the Sailor Man".
Its totally irresponsible for mehta to write a story like that based on anonymous sources. if he is unable to back up his story then i would think most fairminded people would call BS on the story. Do i think there may be a few disgruntled malcontents who are not team players ? Sure but if they lack the courage to stand behind their comments then mehta's story should be filed under BS.
Sounds plausible as a starting point. Then players are approached for their thoughts/opinions and the next thing you know, you've got "several anonymous sources", none of whom want to be named because the original source is now gone.
Unfortunately for Mehta he's no bob woodward or carl bernstein and a few disgruntled gutless selfish football players hardly constitute an obstruction of justice and felonies committed by a President.
I've heard of those guys before. Weren't they involved in Spygate? Or was it some other thing with -gate at the end of it? Those scandals all blend together for me these days.
I will have the tale of Spygate tattooed on my firstborn daughter's back, much like the little girl in Waterworld, but without the undertones of pedophilia. People will know this tale even after the waters rise.
Well golly... January 16, 2011 right around 4:20 PM..Holmes must've busted out a HUGE joint, while Wimpy Wayne hunter cooked up a TON of spinach burgers for the rest of the patients before playing Billy Bluto & the patty cakes! Well blow's me down! But the team left Olive in Foxboro...typical ugly new england broad.
. Scotty threw Sanchez under the bus after the safety vs the Giants. One. Holmes is two, and he also went after Schotty earlier. Two. My guess would be the third may be Ferguson who gave up a shitload of sacks this year, not having been protected by the run first offense
That's old news, nobody cares about January 2011. Will Holmes be on the golf course, or smoking a joint, or bashing Sanchez this coming Saturday?
I don't think even most of the apologists think he's a franchise QB. Most of the realistic people I've seen defend him seem to think he's got potential to be pretty good or that he doesn't suck fully. More like they feel the need to defend him against those who feel he's worthless.
seriously TX, your beloved cheating scumbags have a home playoff game on Saturday which they might even win before their postseason hopes come crashing to earth at the hands of the Ravens. go someplace where you can talk about YOUR stinking team and leave the Jets and this phony Manishgate scandal story alone I'm begging
