This. I've never seen a team just get hammered down every time they try to make progress. We try to change the culture, but the on field results just reinforces what a lot of long time fans still feel. This team, for whatever reason, is just flat out unlucky. We earn everything we get. No breaks from the Refs, none from Lady Luck.

Hell, we don't even have a home field adavantage mostly because we don't have a home field. That big gray box called MetLife stadium just looks bland. In their effort to please both the Giants and the Jets, they came up with the most generic, bland stadium design conceivable. They're absolutely right when they said yesterday was a neutral site.

Kerley was open for TD in the left corner. He had run past the CB and nobody was coming over to help. Should have been an easy 6 points. Geno never saw him. Instead he's trying to force one to Cumberland in the middle, surrounded by three Steelers. Even without the hit, it probably would have been intercepted. Maybe if Goodson holds the block for another second, Geno sees Kerley. This is life with a rookie QB.

He actually looked pretty decent when he wasn't passing out on the middle of an interstate with a pistol loaded with hollow points.

 

I will always look back fondly on the Goddson era

 

We had 83 yards rushing total..we could lose all three of them and it wouldn't hurt.

 

He got injured on the side we sit on. asa It happened people in my section just sighed.

I said "of course". Just shaking our heads...

 

So is he back next year?

Yup, Goodson is done for the year. Suffered torn ACL and MCL.

Yikes. Speedy recovery.

That's a shame. He showed some real promise. We can't afford to lose the few playmakers we have.

Man I miss the days of Curtis Martin UGH heck give me Thomas Jones lol at least he was always healthy !

 

Goodson was doing good coming back too.

And he'll be back next season, he was signed to a multi-year deal. I just hope he still has his speed when he comes back.

But yeah, this team truly is cursed.

 

He really looked like a promising addition to MM's offense. Really disappointing and frustrating. IMO, the worst thing about modern sports is overabundance of injuries.
