Just a note, soon as you chimed in with the wise cracks you ceased being an innocent bystander in any sort of way
There's no way that Hobbes isn't trolling at this point. I wanted to give him some credit, but no bank would give anyone a line of credit based on these posts. Sorry, Hobbes, you are faking your ass off. And it has gotten so far past entertaining that it is pitiful. I sure hope that you are at least being paid in alcohol. Tell those fags at at the fail site that ten active users is a chatroom, not a forum.
If Sanchez would play up to his ability, we'd never miss the playoffs. Sadly, if he doesnt do it this year, he will be playing up to his ability to spend his leisure time spending the 60 mil Woody flushed down the crapper.
As far as getting the player, I was thrilled that Smith fell to 39. But....in the moment, after thinking the Jets would have a credible 1-2 for several years, the dread of the inevitable drama began to sink in. Hey, I dont doubt that Idzik likes competition, every competnet GM should. But, Rex a day ago, annointed Cumberland the starter at TE, while trying out a far more talented, though inmured player. bway, they havent done squat, to push competition on Sanchz,Garrard wasnt it, and they probably fell down on their knees when Smith fell to 39. But...Drafting a QB out of a mediocre, at best QB class, wasnt going to provide a serious level of competition either. Thats not a defense of Sanchez, its just the way the situation played out.I hope Im misreading what you wrote, but do you really think Jones or Dyson would have been "competition"? If there was a prospect talented enough to be competition, in all likelyhood, Richardson would ha e gone at 9, a QB at 13, and they would have found a CB in 2 or 3. Think about that. The new alleged Franchise QB, the guy that runs the offense, was deemed less of a player than a CB, and. lineman, two positions the Jets arent needy at.
This exactly ... I don't care WHICH quarterback yall want Sanchez, Smith or freakin Sims (I think McElroy is a gonner) - it benefits everyone if they hold this camp and attend. That is extra reps, extra playbook study time, extra QB/WR/HB/TE cohesiveness.
I used to hate brussel sprouts......... try them roasted on the the grill (or on a pan), with salt, cracked pepper and a little olive oil. Actually pretty good, the only way I'll eat them. The rest of this thread sucks more than a mushy pile of overboiled brussel sprouts
Yup. I dont mind sprouts, but theyre great on the grill. And lets face it, this is just more media crap, Geno, or at least his pseudo agent, should know by now that anything like this is going to be used to feed into the Diva image the NY sports media is trying to create for him, so they can double down, when Sanchez is under center. This guy cant catch a break. Just a matter of time, till Cimini calls him Geno-fer Lopez.
At this point any guy with any credibility as a possible starter in the NFL is likely to be as much competition as Sanchez can handle. Yeah, a 4th round pick who looked good in camp would likely have beaten Sanchez out. A 6th round guy who had a very good camp would also. The thing that the pro-Sanchez faction doesn't understand yet is that it's over for him. It's taken awhile to get there and he has taken a number of steps down the path towards that end but the destination is not much in doubt at this point. He's not efficient. He's not a leader. He creates losses where none should have been possible. The Jets damn near lost to a bad Arizona team starting a 3rd string QB. They were in that position because Sanchez threw 3 Interceptions when a single TD pass would have won the game. They did lose to a bad Tennessee team because he threw 4 picks on a day when all he needed to do was lead the Jets on two scoring drives to salvage a tie at the worst. He's done. It's not like I don't like him but I never want to see him on the field for the Jets again. He's not remotely entertaining at this point.
Only in your mind does that make sense. Discussing circumstances does not mean that it translates to a good argument about the type if player Sanchez is. Thinking about it, I really have a hard time remembering a single time where you disussed the PLAYER that Sanchez is instead of who was coaching him and he played with. Face it, you try to analyze circumstance rather than the players playing the game. Just the circumstance Sanchez was in last year sucked, it doesn't excuse the horrible play, which is something you just don't get because you aren't looking at the player, but just the circumstance. And do u really want to argue if Sanchez was the 32nd best starting QB or the 30th? That alone makes my point of how bad he was.
Dennis Waszak Jr. @DWAZ73 32s Geno Smith clarifies that he never knew what "Jets West" was when he said "no comment" on if he'd go. Expects to attend Sanchez's camp This 'story' can die now
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 12s Geno Smith attempts to clarify Jets West Gate. Says he wasn't sure what it was, hadn't received invite. Plans to go if invited. #Jets
JStokes, most of your posts in this thread have had nothing to do with football and have had everything to do with calling other people morons. Talk football, or don't talk at all.
It was a ludicrous story in the first place. 'No Comment' instantly holds negative connotations because beat writers hate that. I still feel that all the Jets players should respond in this manner when asked about anything. It would probably be the only thing that will finally shut these people up.
Good. This is the way it should be. Never was a controversey and it never should have been--from a team pesrpective and a fan pesrpective--regardless of what side of the QB battle you are on. Nothing bad can come of a bunch of teammates that are working towards one goal going out to an offsite to practice/bond/familiarize themselves with each other. _
None of them did. But I know you have more sense than this. It's one thing to support a player. Quite another to defend him in almost identical fashion to the way Tebots defended Tebow. It's like Sanchez' agent has taken your children hostage and won't give them back until you can get 50%of the forum to agree with you.
Simple fact is I hated Schotty since hes been here. 2012, is...well 2012. You can go all the way back to Pennys days and see me bitching about pass plays that take far too long to develop. Add to that, this teams draft history post 2009, and i see a guy that in big spots for a green guy, played big when it counted...in spite of really odd to poor circumstances. I think he deserves, as does the organization, this opportunity to prove it. Number 5 overall, and 60 odd mil, is a big investment, and its paid some dividends, the idea should be to get more out of it. What is the odd issue, is how there was so much talk about Geno should sit behnd Garrard, till he pulled up lame, now...he needs to go to thefront of the Ine, when he is still learning how to drop back. You're right, in a sense. The Genomaniacs are becoming just like the Tebowmaniacs. P.S. about 30 minutes ago, Junc just passed you on the coolest/funniest avvy list. Just like yours, it was high comedy, with excellent timing
